Delivering for Patients’ Needs by Building on Advances in the Multiple Myeloma Field

One of the first projects C4T embarked upon was exploring how we could apply our science to degrade two transcription factors, IKZF1 (Ailos) and IKZF3 (Ikaros), that are foundational to the biology of multiple myeloma, a blood cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow. Multiple myeloma is a persistent disease that is characterized by cycles of remission and relapse, which leads to patients needing multiple lines of therapy. Throughout treatment, targeted degradation of IKZF1/3 remains a therapeutic strategy to treat the disease.

We developed a molecule, known as cemsidomide, to leverage our capabilities in targeted protein degradation and build upon advances in the multiple myeloma treatment landscape to deliver new therapies for patients.

In the enclosed video, our chief medical officer, Len Reyno, M.D., spoke about the progress of cemsidomide and its potential to support patients as well as our gratitude to the patients and research partners who have helped this investigational medicine progress through clinical development.
