Our Commitment to Community
At C4 Therapeutics, we take action to support our communities. Across our company, employees utilize our eight paid volunteer hours to partner with and strengthen local organizations. From volunteering on nonprofit boards, to mentoring students at our respective alma maters, to rolling up our sleeves for physical labor—and more—it’s easy to find eager volunteers across C4T.
In addition to our individual contributions, we have strong company-level partnerships with organizations aligned with our values. One of these is with Project Onramp, which connects passionate college students from underserved communities with paid internships that expose them to life sciences careers while teaching important career and life skills that will serve them for a lifetime. In 2023, we welcomed six interns through the program who explored careers across supply chain, biology and chemistry.
Within Watertown, we work with the Watertown Community Foundation’s STEM Fund, which aims to stimulate interest in life sciences careers. The Fund recognizes the importance of sparking public school students’ interest in science early in their academic careers. Through the Fund, we support STEM grants to Watertown elementary schools to help students progress in math, science, and other elements of their STEM curriculum. We also volunteer through the Watertown CoLAB, which brings C4T employees into Watertown High School to share their educational journey and build students’ awareness of the range of careers in the life sciences.
We also love rolling up our sleeves in the Watertown community! In 2023, for the first time, we had more than 100 employees participate in Watertown Helps Out, which got us out in Watertown for a variety of action-oriented volunteer opportunities across the Department of Conservation & Recreation, Watertown Boys & Girls Club, Hosmer Elementary School and Watertown Food Pantry.
